Joining Us

INERELA+ is a global network of religious leaders living with or personally affected by HIV. All such leaders of all faiths, lay or ordained, women and men, may participate in the global network. Becoming part of INERELA+ is easy.

Membership of our website

Membership of the community on www.inerela.org does not constitute membership of the INERELA+ organisation. To become a full member, please fill out the membership registration form below.

Full Membership:

To become a full member of INERELA+ you must be a religious leader living with HIV or personally affected by it. To be deemed personally affected, you must be in a first degree relationship with a person living with HIV (PLHIV). You are also deemed affected if you are or were (if the person has died) the primary caregiver to a PLHIV. Your experience and expertise as a religious leader living with or personally affected by HIV will feed directly into INERELA+ advocacy and programmes. As a full member, you will receive regular updates on the most recent or significant INERELA+ activities and we will actively involve you in forming INERELA+ policy and opinions.

Affiliated Membership

Any religious leader, lay or ordained, who does not meet the requirements of full membership can request to become an affiliated member. This category would include theologians, scholars and laypersons who work in the HIV field. As an affiliated member, you will receive regular updates around significant achievements of INERELA+. Like other advocacy organisations, we always work to broaden the support of our views, policies and programmes. Being a friend ensures you are the first to know and gives you influence on the discussion and the topics on which we should advocate.

Friends of Inerela+

Like other advocacy organisations, we always work to broaden the support of our views, policies and programmes. Anyone may request to become a Friend of INERELA+. Being a friend ensures you are kept up to date on our programmes and initiatives.

Partner Organizations

Representatives of potential partner organizations may also apply. INERELA+ recognizes two types of partners: resource partners which contribute financially to the network and collaborating partners which seek to find ways to work together without making a direct financial contribution.
